TRAWLMASTER - General Info
The Trawlmaster supplies fishermen with valuable information about their trawl. This system provides critical gear geometry information for single and twin rigs.
Special Features for Twin Rigs:
- Monitors the spread on each net
- Monitors distance to each door and the clump
- Indicates if clump is in line with doors
- Recommends center wire adjustment
- Doorspread and Distance Sensors
- Provide the distance between the doors
- Provide the distance from the vessel to each door, and clump
- Distance sensors indicate if the trawl wire marks are accurate
- Indicate when doors have crossed
- Detect if a door has fallen or is stuck
- Indicate when cross currents & tides have closed the trawl Catch Sensor
- Indicates when the cod-end is full
- Increases quality and saves time
- Tells you when to haul
- Indicates that the trawl is fishing Headline Height Sensor
- Indicates the vertical opening of the net
- Tells you when the trawl is on the bottom
- Allows you to raise and lower the headline depending on species and trawling conditions
- For mid-water trawlers, an optional footline sensor can be added.
- This gives a very accurate vertical opening of the net and how far the footgear is from the bottom Headline Depth/Temperature Sensor
- Indicates the depth of the headline relative to the surface
- Allows you to raise and lower headline Other Advantages
- Will locate the trawl if it is lost
- Grid sensor indicates the angle of the sorting grid
- Omnidirectional acoustic beams are 360 degrees, which ensure a stable data link between the sensors and vessel
