TRAWLMASTER - General Info

The Trawlmaster supplies fishermen with valuable information about their trawl. This system provides critical gear geometry information for single and twin rigs.

Special Features for Twin Rigs:

• Monitors the spread on each net
• Monitors distance to each door and the clump
• Indicates if clump is in line with doors
• Recommends center wire adjustment
• Doorspread and Distance Sensors
• Provide the distance between the doors
• Provide the distance from the vessel to each door, and clump
• Distance sensors indicate if the trawl wire marks are accurate
• Indicate when doors have crossed
• Detect if a door has fallen or is stuck
• Indicate when cross currents & tides have closed the trawl Catch Sensor
• Indicates when the cod-end is full
• Increases quality and saves time
• Tells you when to haul
• Indicates that the trawl is fishing Headline Height Sensor
• Indicates the vertical opening of the net
• Tells you when the trawl is on the bottom
• Allows you to raise and lower the headline depending on species and trawling conditions
• For mid-water trawlers, an optional footline sensor can be added.
• This gives a very accurate vertical opening of the net and how far the footgear is from the bottom Headline Depth/Temperature Sensor
• Indicates the depth of the headline relative to the surface

• Will locate the trawl if it is lost
• Grid sensor indicates the angle of the sorting grid
• Omnidirectional acoustic beams are 360 degrees, which ensure a stable data link between the sensors and vessel
